LARISSA TOKMAKOVA was born in Ukraine, studied painting in Moscow, and moved to New York in 1991. Her work has been widely exhibited, most recently at Vassar College. Chair of the art department at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, she has also taught painting at Ateliers Fourwinds (France) and the Hebei Academy (China). In 2013, Larissa created 29 paintings to accompany Mike Daisey onstage for his month-long monologue ALL THE FACES OF THE MOON at The Public Theater in New York. |

Larissa's stage appearances include PS 122's production of Kristen Kosmas's THERE, THERE, directed by Paul Willis, revived at On The Boards in Seattle; and Elana Greenfield's WRENCH (LABA/14th Street Y). She edited the feature films HORRIBLE CHILD and WENDELL & THE LEMON, and lives in Bushwick, Brooklyn. |
